Nine-metre builders stair with level access and a 2.5 m x 6 m loading platform at Thomas Foods International, Frick Road, Lobethal, delivered for head contractor Ahrens.

The job: trade access up to the first and second levels of the works on the Thomas Foods International facility at Lobethal, delivered for head contractor Ahrens. Plus a dedicated loading platform for landing insulated panels at height during the panel install phase.

The scaffold. A nine-metre builders stair giving level access to levels 1 and 2, paired with a 2.5-metre by 6-metre loading platform engineered to carry the insulated panel sections during install. Standard Epic systems scaffold throughout, erected to AS/NZS 1576.

Delivery. On site through the Ahrens works programme. Propping phase to follow once the stair and loading platform are released.

Why Epic. Lobethal is the second Thomas Foods facility Epic has delivered scaffold on for Ahrens in the current programme — the Murray Bridge job (60 lineal metres of face-mounted perimeter handrail) was through the same head contractor earlier in the year. Repeat engagement is the signal that matters: when the first job was signed off and working inside two days of the request, the next facility calls the same scaffolder.
